Context:
The BMW Foundation’s RISE Cities program fosters responsible leadership to create resilient, intelligent, sustainable, and equitable urban environments. As part of this initiative, the RISE City Lab Munich brought together citizens and decision-makers in a collaborative process to rethink and redesign public urban spaces. The project, inspired by Barcelona’s Superblock concept, aimed to transform Munich’s southern Bahnhofsviertel into a more livable and people-centered neighborhood.

Challenge:
To visually capture and promote the spirit of this community-driven urban transformation event, emphasizing innovation, sustainability, and citizen engagement in reimagining city life.

Graphic Solution:
I created an original illustration for FreiRaum and the BMW Foundation that reflects the event’s core message of making cities more livable through shared public spaces and sustainable urban planning. The artwork conveys openness, collaboration, and the dynamic energy of urban regeneration, aligning with the RISE Cities program’s pillars and the event’s goals.

Impact:
The illustration was used to support communication and outreach for the RISE City Lab Munich event, helping to engage diverse stakeholders and the public in the dialogue about sustainable urban development.

My Role:
Illustrator collaborating with FreiRaum and the BMW Foundation to produce a compelling visual identity for the event, enhancing its visibility and resonance.
